Artist: Solly Sebotso - Chaba Bakwe is about mass migration, and it's probably influenced in some way by a traditional song. There are more than twenty distinct ethnic groups in Botswana. Solly is from the Kgalagadi minority. While related to the Tswana majority, at some point the Bakwena (a Tswana faction) forced them out of more fertile grounds and onto the edges of the Kalahari desert where they live today. The song is in Solly's native tongue, Sekgalagadi, which is a bantu language closely related to Setswana. The song repeats the same verse.
